Default E85 prices?

My 2001 monte doesn't use e85 of course but my 2007 impala does so I imagine some of you might be using it in your 7th gen montes. E85 at Holiday stations in Mpls/St. Paul has usually run about 60-70 cents per gallon less than regular unleaded. Now that gas is currently running 3.54 the e85 is at 2.84. Does anyone else see a similar difference in their area? I'm a little baffled as to why e85 continues to price climb about the same amount as regular gas prices. Do we get our corn from Libya too?!?!?!? With gas this high the only reason to run the e85 is the cleaner burning and getting 105 octane. The hit taken on gas mileage makes the cost per driving mile about the same. By the way, the 3.5 motor gets about 15% less mpg with e85 during summer highway driving, in town is too hard to tell for sure. The winter mileage seems to take a bigger hit than normal compared to regular gas (90/10 blend in Minnesota) Any comments?

Our Ethanol blend here in Utah is the same price as non-blended fuel. Its' all about making obscene profits is all it is in my opinion. The fuel has been refined from oil long ago and could have been sold at a profit with the lower costs they have already been selling it at. Now they are just taking advantage of a situation and saying they have to when in reality they don't. Their family members got everything they need while us "cattle" dont really ever cross their thoughts except how to flinch every spare nickle from our pockets.

I was making frequent trips down to Iowa a year or so ago. I would fill up with e85 in Floyd off Hwy. 218 and it was about 70 cents less than unleaded. I didn't see any stations selling it in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area though.

imop the government is making the ethonal makers rase there prices even though it is cheaper to make then regular gas. i dont like running ethonal because i get really low gas milege out of a tank full. the last time i got a full tank of ethonal it got me 24 miles to the gallon high way when i got 28 to 30 miles on regular tank of gas. i dont mind ethonal i just wish that all gas stations have the ethonal options. do to the really low gas mile range.
