You're referring to automatic weapons when you say 10 rounds a second. There's simply no way you can physically pull a trigger for a semi-auto that quickly. Again, automatics can only be legally obtained if you have absolutely nothing on your record and have a very large amount of money to pay Uncle Sam for a Class 3 license. Nobody that pays that much for a license is going to use them in a crime. The only automatic weapons used in crimes (and the vast majority of weapons used in crimes in general) are obtained illegally. That's where I feel we don't need MORE laws on the books. More effort needs to be taken to enforce the ones already out there.

 

I have several rifles that I hunt with and I also have a Colt 1911. As a rule, I never take my pistol anywhere (although Ohio is an open carry state). I sometimes take it with me if I know I'll be going through Cleveland's east side, I just don't trust people.

 

I agree there needs to be more inforcing on the illegal obtaining of weapons instead of trying to inforce more rules on the everyday person even if u take guns away from everyone the criminals will still get them & it won't solve anything & yeah you need to have deep pockets to get a class 3 license my dad has tried to get one before
