Actually the Monte Carlo comeback cars were designed before the Lumina modification to the newer style. The Lumina was a( Mini-Van, a 4 dr. sedan, and a 2 door Sedan) from 89-95.
I have attached a piece of Literature that Reintroduced the Monte Carlo back in 1994 at the Brickyard 400 and then the production models were 1995.

Ok Black Sheep! I had a '68 Camaro rally sport and my bro a '69, I always preferred the '67-'68 body style with the rounded wheel wells? personal preference I guess? I know most people like the '69 body style more, but I personally love the '68 even over the '67,the '68 had no vent window, side marker lights and better grille? IMO! best thing for '69 was the electric hideaway headlights as mine were vacuum activated and a pain in the ***! I replaced all my vacuum lines and it made a huge difference!!

The wheel well thing doesn't bother me, 5th gens don't need them rounded
I get the mustang guess every now and again....i correct them saying its faster than that and doesnt break down . I actually like the arch shape....with as much drop as i have it helps with the aggressive look, especially how i park...slightly crooked with the wheel cranked. Always thought the round arches of 00+ gave them a bit of a hondaish look....

I see what you mean as far as the Mustang. I am attaching some photo's that I notice how much they resembled the Monte more of a shorty
version. I would like to have the exhaust pipe version like this one on the Monte.
