Aveo RS

MY GOD thats an ugly little car. why is chevy even wasting time on the aveo, it's like having a yugo GT or a geo metro SS, they are adding stuff to a car thats supposed to be a economy "throwaway" car, one to be used as basic transport and then recycled into new washing macheines. i really hate the aveo, but it does have its own market niche, its basic transportation almost anyone can afford new. when they offer a package like this, it jacks up the price of the car to where a buyer could afford a nicer car from the get go that's got better styling and higher resale value. they ought to just work on making the car more mechanicly sound and longer lasting, make people talk about an aveo like they talk about honda's

This Aveo is obviously direct competition to the Honda Fit.
Like I said. If you're into that kind of car, it's right up your alley. Me, I like vehicles that can perform.
The 2010 Honda Fit starts at $14,900 for the base model. The sport model starts at $16,410. And that's a production model.
How much do you think that Aveo concept car would be?

i KNEW that design looked farmiliar. wow, thats even more sad. earth to chevy engineers, i said make 'em more reliable than a honda, not copy honda's a$$ ugly designs!
i think my favorite compact is the cobalt. heck, i love my buddies no- options 2.0 5 speed model, and i bet it cost less than the aveo RS will be. and i LOVED the '09 turbo'd cobalt SS that was at the NY auto show last year. is chevy still planning on discontinuing the cobalt? i hope not....

Chevy probably will discontinue the Cobalt just because it doesn't have that stupid oversized 2-piece grille that they want to put on all there cars/SUVs/trucks/crossovers...

a Kenworth W900 grill! My favorite rig of all time!
A lot of GM's stuff is starting to look a little more like the European stuff, so is Ford, Dodge hasn't quite jumped on the bandwagon yet. Japan is following suit.
I remember when they first brought out the Aveo, a Chevrolet dealership in Norfolk, VA, where my dad pulls containers out of the ports, offered a base model one free with the purchase of any Silverado, Suburban, or Corvette. I think their just trying to make something that can do well in Europe and hopefully sell some in America while they are at it.

You know if it looks like this its gonna sell great though. There is for sure a niche for this car and its all personal opinion. I wouldnt mind this car at all. Itll probably take on alot of the 3.4 montes and get 40+ mpg while its doing it.
