Aveo RS

Aveo RS
Ive hated the aveo with a passion, but my opinion changed! This thing is nuts, the interior even looks good.
" The problem with the current Aveo is its crushing mediocrity. There's nothing outright bad about the car, but nothing very good about it either. GM's planning on upending that mediocrity with the next Aveo, moving the car onto a bigger platform, giving it some aggression and actually styling the interior. What you're seeing in this car is about 80% of what we've seen from the production-intent Aveo.
Think of the RS as the fully kitted-out version of a really well done tuner car. That's about as close as the RS is to the real deal. The interior is faithful to what we've seen, tarted up a bit with slightly fancier materials and a dollop of chrome, but other than that, very similar. Hell, this "concept" even has oh-**** handles."
1.4-liter four-cylinder producing 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque

Sorry man, the only thing I like about that car is the headlights. The headlights look mean as hell. The grille is hideous. Not a fan of oversized grilles.
The rest of the car looks like your typical car aimed at the ricer crowd. That's great if you're into those types of cars. But at 138 horses, I think it would take an aweful lot of mods to get decent power out of it.

That's a concept car version, with all the expensive stuff you usually get on a concept car. But when it comes to production models, you get a much different looking car.
Someone on jalopnik photoshopped a more "production" version. Headlights are different, licence plate added, front corner vents less fancy, smaller tires with plastic hub caps that you typically see on a car like this.

Yeah, I thought it looked alright for a sub-compact in the first pics, but the other one Taz posted sucks. But they did fix the door handles. For some reason it bugs me when a vehicle has different exterior door handles on the front and rear doors, like the Jeep Compass or the Acura ZDX

Good point `Lou (Taz),
The Concepts are always so much better then production : (
They tease us and then produce plain `janes : (,
but it does keep the after market companies in business
and producing mod's for that market.
Because of the Cold Spell our price of `gas in Florida
is going up each day : (
Small cars are going to be in demand again
I hope gas prices don't go to $5 + a gallon again

Brock, enjoyed this thread & member's comments/posts.

So many concept cars have projector beam headlights. And people love 'em and get excited about the car. But then the production version almost always gets the standard headlight treatment. Especially on the base models.
I highly doubt an entry level car like the Aveo would ever get projector beam headlights. Too bad, because it's the only part of the car I like.
