bump, just wanted to get new info from any new members who may have or will be looking into getting one soon! i haven't got one yet but since it is silly season with christmas i was looking into these more. let me/us know which you like most with a gps system, thanks
I still vote for the Garmin. I have the nuvi 765T that I bought 6 months ago, can't remember what I paid but it wasn't too much and I am sure you can find deals now.
I just found out that if you own a TomTom you can download Homer Simpson's and Snoop Dogg's voices for the navigation, it's hilarious!!!

I have the Innovatek GPS-722 in-dash unit. The previous owner installed it and sold it to me with the Monte. It retails for $399.
It does CD, DVD, MP3, GPS, Bluetooth, USB (up to 8GB MP3/flash storage recognizable), has a retractable 7" touch-responsive screen (the 877 model has 8") that also pivots left/right when fully extended, and has a 240W built-in preamp output to female RCAs for quick attachment to another amp or subs.
I have no subs installed yet, but my friend greeted me at the door before I could ring the doorbell. He claimed to know I pulled up to his place because heard the bass from inside the house. I was playing an MP3 mix of Ferry Corsten at the time (electro/house/dance). So just quick thumps, no real low-frequency rolling. Just FYI.

I have an OLD Garmin C340. Pretty much think the world of it, except when on occassion it wants me to do things that aren't quite legal or sensical... Make a U-turn on a 4 lane divided highway??? How do you think I'll do that?!?!? Not to mention it seems like each time it needs to "recalculate" due to driver or software error the voice prompt sounds more and more annoyed... how is that possible?!?!?
That being said I wouldn't want to navigate without it!
