Cool 4th Gen Monte Carlo Maintainance Costs?

I dont know if you guys have seen my other posts or not but I'm still on the market for buying my first Monte Carlo. I'm trying to figure out the maintanance costs of a 4th gen Monte. I have about 2,000 saved up right now and probably have 3500 within 4 weeks or so. There are a few late 80's Monte carlo's that I have seen that I'd like to take a look at. Although gas is about 4 bucks a gallon, All my commutes are less than 15 minutes away from my new home, which I will be staying at for hopefully many years to come. What I'm wondering is how much would the practicallity of an 80s monte carlo cost? aside from gas and insurance. Also, where can I post an ad or pictures of a monte I'm itnerested in in order go get some members opinions? I'm still fairly new to the site. I also like the 2000-2003 SS models but I have my heart really set on a 4th gen baby. Thanks guys.

normal every car stuff, oil changes, brakes, trans services, There is just 20+ years of wear and tear, care and abuse, and beign exposed to the elemnets

make sure you take a good look under the car when you look at them, especially at the rear frame rails below the truck

Driving a car over 20 years old daily can take a toll on the car. True any car driven daily wears out. But when you take in to consideration the age of the vehicle it kind of compounds the situation.

Also remember. If you get normal coverage on the car from an ins. company and heaven forbid something does happen, you will get a check from the ins. for $150. Cause that's about what they'll value the car at.

Just some things to think over.
