It doesn't seem right, at first glance. But, according to the updated figures, the 2010 Camaro, with its 3.6 liter N/A V6 pumps out 312HP, very respectable, but only 278lbs of torque. Your 2004 Monte may pump out only 240HP, but it has 280lbs of torque.

Then also remember the 2010 Camaro weighs around 3,800 lbs, where your 2004 Monte weighs only 3,400 lbs. Had you used 91 or 93 octane, I think you may have been faster than 6.6.

 

The 2010 V6 Camaro is faster than 6.6 sec in both Automatic and Manual tranny form.

according to Edmunds test the V6 manual can do 0-60 in 6.0 sec flat. And Motor Trend tested at 6.1 Sec in an automatic.

Well according to MotorWeek it's 6.6 and the Hyundai Genesis is 6.1 seconds. *shrug* Altitude, tires, road, and driver must come into play.
