Just some basic mods. Others are getting more. Only things done was a Magnaflow 3" exhaust, Dejon CAI and hi-flow intercooler, and a tune by Lyndon Wester, the MASTER of tuning. Vettes are his specialty, but he just happens to own a Solstice

True story:
What really get us was what happened last weekend at the Lane Automotive show last Saturday (1,500 cars). When we got there, the 3 of us (LadyT, RJ, and myself) pulled in next to 2 late 60s Ford F100 pickups, NICE trucks. Later we noticed the trucks were gone, and 2 Vettes were there instead. The one next to LadyT was a silver '06 with a M122 blower. The owner was sitting next to his car, with his buddy. NO ONE looked at his car, but there was always a group of people looking over Lucy! He got real pissy, as Vette owners tend to do, and they left early. Just another Vette. Nobody notices Vettes when parked next to Lucy, especially Silver ones.

 

Now thats funny Wayne. i really love the way the hood opens on Lucy.

Not trying to bash the Vettes here, just the owners. At least around here, and at the Tail of the Dragon, the most important thing to them is where they can meet at the next coffee shop! The Kappa cars are ALL about driving hard and looking good while doing it! We just signed up for the Tail of the Dragon again 1st weekend in August. We had 60 Kappas there last year. LadyT was screaming at me as I was going into a turn at triple digit speeds. We don't putsy along. We had someone go 3 wide thru those nasty curves last year! When you ever see a Vette do that? 350HP in a car that waeghs 2,800 lbs? Bring it on Vettes!

Sorry I took this off topic, but I'm all about "PRO AMERICAN" automobiles, having spent the last 35 years doing mostly automotive tooling. The foreigh exotics are pretty, but I'm all about keeping jobs here, if possible. I just made a comment elsewhere as to bringing back the Pontiac G8 (Holden Commodore SS) as a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The G8 is a GREAT car! IMHO, it wouldn't take much to turn this car into a Monte. Think about it. If Pontiac would've left with Oldsmobile, the GTO would've been, or could've been a Chevy Monte Carlo! Turn the Commodore into a 2 door, and give us a BEAUTIFUL and POWERFUL Monte Carlo SS for maybe 2011 or 2012? AND it's a GM.

EDIT: I just e-mailed Holden with my suggestion. I am asking my fellow MCF family to do the same thing, and E-mail Holden asking for the G8 to be made as a 2 door, and badged as a Monte Carlo. Here is the link:
