I don't think GM would be that stupid to pull a stunt like that. Or at least I hope they wouldn't be that stupid.
Pretty sure GM would use the original film of the original testing of the 59 Chevy. And do a split screen of a crash test of the 2009 Chevy, from the same angle.
Which, in my humble opinion, is what the IIHS should have done. But the IIHS doesn't give a crap about preserving historic/classic cars. So future generations can see them in person. Instead of having to look at pictures.
