So this weekend I did two mods to the daily driver:
1. - Since the belt is of unknown age and the A/C does not work (nor do I intend to fix it on this car, since it's primary use is winter), I did a mod to use a shorter belt and "delete" the A/C pulley. For the record, I did this with the expectation that I'm not going to notice any change in performance. Pretty much I am right. I think the belt drive might be a little quieter, but outside of that, the butt-dyno is not noticing any improved HP. But I got what I wanted out of this mod.
2. - Finally painted up a spare set of air vent trim rings I got from the junk yard months ago. I think they add something the car was missing.
Attached are before and after pics.

Thanks Mod `Jason for sharing your projects of tearing things apart & putting things back together to make things better.
I'm great @ tearing things apart, but always have a difficult time trying to put them back together 4-Sure...
p.s. I hope that your body shop gets everything right on your Monte 4-Sure....

Thanks guys!
The rings are a small and cheap touch to add (just like painting the Pontiac logo on the wheel). Some things I think GM could have done. But everyone has a slightly different taste.
I forgot to mention, I also replaced my failed blower motor resistor over the weekend too! So I now have all 5 blower speeds (instead of 4, 5 and off).

Well, it's nice in pictures lol! It has it's body issues for being an 11 year old cheap-o N-body I bought. But, it gets the job done, that's what counts.
