J.D. Power and Associates just released its annual Vehicle Dependability Study, with ratings handed out in 18 categories. This year's study compiles information gathered over the past year from owners of 2010 model-year cars and trucks. At a glance, the noteworthy aspects of the 2013 J.D. Power survey are that vehicles are becoming more dependable every year; that American models are closing the dependability gap with imports, winning five out of the 18 categories; and that Japanese makes still dominate the list, with a couple of insurgents from Germany and South Korea poking up to take category nods. Drawing on lessons learned from its racing programs, Porsche assembled a worthy competitor for the battle against McLaren and Ferrari. Electric motors, both front and rear, work in concert with a 4.6-liter V8 engine to develop 887 horsepower and zero-to-60-mph times of less than three seconds.

Christian von Koenigsegg talked to Bloomberg Businessweek over the weekend, telling the publication about his youth, the supercar business and how most Koenigsegg designs start in his head. It's all worth a read.
But at the end of the four-page article, the head of the brand hints at a new car, built as a “money-is-no-object venture” for a dealer in China. The car will be called the One:1.
According to Bloomberg, von Koenigsegg's vision is to create a supercar that achieves a one to one power-to-weight ratio. The plan is for a 1,400-pound, 1,400-hp beast, meant to take on the new crop of supercars from Ferrari, Porsche and Bugatti.
“Other cars have achieved this but by measuring dry weight -- no oil, no water, no fuel,” von Koenigsegg told Bloomberg.
Slated for 1 hp per kilogram.

Not surprising that American vehicles not dominating list!As for corvette with cargo room,it's a sure way to ruin an American classic in my opinion.

Hi `Jake, it's great to see you online. I agree, the new StingRay should not be converted to a Station Wagon 
Some people shouldn't do `Drugs or drink 2 much > 
I was surprised that Callaway is going to do this ? I'm sure they have done their homework/research & found that there are those that would buy them ? It's a crazy world out there > I'm afraid to go out there sometimes >
