Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition Goes From SEMA To Showroom
It was called the Blackout Edition when it was shown at SEMA as a concept car. And apparently General Motors liked what it created so much that it decided to put a version of this car into production.

Say hello to the Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition. It's a jet black version of the full-size sedan, paired with a few extra styling goodies fitted that help set it apart from your standard Impala.
Besides the blacked-out paint, the Midnight Edition has aluminum wheels with black accents and a blacked-out grille. The front and rear Chevy Bow Ties also get the Vader treatment, which continues on into the interior of the Impala. It's available on most trim lines of the Impala, and you can pair your blacked-out Chevy with either the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or the 3.6-liter V-6. Prices range between $995 and $1,595 for the Midnight Edition bits.

What would really be interesting would be to see an Impala packing a V-8 engine and sending power to the rear wheels. That will never happen, but we can hold out a glimmer of hope for the future even if it means eyeing the past.

Enter the Heart of Darkness: Chevy Impala Midnight Edition
April 29, 2015 at 12:56 pm by Robert Sorokanich | Photography by Michael Simari and the Manufacturer
Sure, you can get your Chevy Impala in black. You can even get it in black-on-black, given the upholstery options available on all but the base model. But what if you want to go darker—as dark, perhaps, as the deepest night? The bowtie division has got you covered. The Impala Midnight Edition, first shown at SEMA 2014 as a suspiciously production-looking “show car,” hits dealerships later this year.
The deepest darkness of the Impala lineup features a Jet Black paint job with color-matched mirrors, 19-inch aluminum wheels with both machined and black-painted details, and a blacked-out front grille. The bowtie badges front and rear have been, uh, noired, with a decklid spoiler (also in black) adding some sporting flair to the midnight air.
Inside, you get—what else?—Jet Black upholstery. And your feet are treated to sport pedals that they’ll no doubt appreciate in the midnight darkness of the driver’s footwell.
The Midnight Edition is available on all Impala trim levels save for the base-model LS. This four-door heart of darkness can be motivated by either the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder with stop-start tech or the 3.6-liter V-6 that sends 305 horses to the front wheels—undoubtedly black stallions in this case.

BBMike:
I'm not a huge fan of a 4 door grocery getter...
But I'm definitely a fan of the "Blacked" out look.
As a matter of fact..Thats how I originally ordered mine when I bought it brand new. I just think it gives it a whole different look kind of a mystic about it.
Thanks for the post/heads up..
