Honestly, to get the best bang for your buck, I would look into computers with AMD processors. Some of them may not be on par with Intel's, but they still get the job done. I built myself a gaming computer a few years ago with an AMD Quad core processor tht I picked up for under $150. It's still running well and plays newer games without any issues.

I have been neglectful in learning more about the inter working of computers, & have put it on my priority list of new things to learn...It sounds that you have learned a lot about computer's...I just know how to plug them in
