I watched a guy rattle can a '65 Impala in the city park once. From green to blue in just 2 cases of rattle cans.

A shop teacher I had bought a '65 Barracuda he brush painted the first time and rolled on the second time. He paid $100 for the car when he bought it and sold it for $100 about 4 or 5 years later.

 

They just had this in Hot Rod magazine a few months ago as well. Pretty cool on a budget.

 

I know that it can be done.

They used to have paint booths you could rent by the day.

I wonder if they still exist.

 

Being a painter, that may look moving. But would look bad up close Iam sure of it.

 

My friend has a 91 camaro that he painted with rustoleum brush-on paint. It wasnt automotive paint.He actually sprayed it through a gun and it turned out pretty nice. He didnt have to sand it or buff it or anything.

 

I've used a paint called Derusto before. It's not an automotive paint either but they sold a shade of black I needed so I gave it a try.

Itdidn't turn out too bad.
