Saying hello

Yes twins I had intended to go single but I think I changed my mind to twins. I was going to go with a Turbenetics ballbearing 76 but after playing a little with friends single I have changed my mind.
Modern electronic controlled engines sample O2 to determine closed loop fueling and with a front single getting accurate readings for each bank can be touchy.
I pick the car up this weekend I will drive it a while to determine the overall health then start to build the replacement. The build won't take long finding and buying the parts will take the most time. I expect to use a Vortec V8 with 4L80E that will take the most time and be expensive. Then of course the torque convertor ~$850, twins ~$1200 - 1500 etc etc etc
I am building it for the street and to be my new daily driver. I expect to get 20 maybe 25 mpg with over drive and small 206/206 .53/53 cam should be quite mild. I will probably change the stock 3.73 gears to 3.23 or 3.08 to improve driveability since power will not be a problem.
I expect to get it to low 11's maybe high 10's if the car is solid enough. I just want a plain looking car that will be fast at the track.
This Monte will replace my B body (95 Roadmaster) rear turbo. I will use the rear turbo as my tow vehicle.

Well picked the car up and a couple immediate disapointments.
First 88 and it as a car? Found out all have a carb that means I wil need to change the tank...
Second is the 7.5 I thought Monte Carlos had 8.5 so now I will have to do work I thought was already done...
Oh well I hopefully will get over it

A site of interest for G Body types.

This may have saved my project. An unexpected expense but one that will make the setup nearly bullet proof.
