Default Cully Saying Hello Again

Not sure, some people may recognize me... but I've been a member on here and mymonte for quite awhile. Frankly, I'm MM more because there seems to be more 5th gen-ers on there, but also, when I joined over here at MCF there was less activity. (It seemed like Wiz Kid was the only one replying to my posts sad to see he had to sell the monte... I'd like to say thanks to him for always welcoming me here if he's still around) However, it seems like traffic over here has increased tremendously! I'd to start visiting this site again, Luckily it seems like most of the ...erm.. issues, were worked out while I was on vacation so I look forward to being on MCF again. Heres a couple shots of the 98Z as a reminder/update. Most recently have installed the ebay headlights, not sure if they're staying for good, but I made an improvement to them, see if you can tell what I did! Oh, and I also now have front and rear strut tower braces.

Welcome back!

Wiz kidd (josh) stops in once in a while, but not as often as he used to. He and the missus had a new bundle of joy recently, and he had to sell the Monte. Bought a Magnum.

We've been getting an increase in the number of 5th gens since you first joined, so hopefully your questions should get answered quicker than before.

Very nice 98Z! Very clean looking. Doesn't look like a 10 year old car at all.
Do you get people thinking your Monte is a Lumina, like a lot of other 5th gen'ers get?

Yeah that happens on occassion, but now I play the "Monte or Lumina" game with my roommate at school where I point one out and he has to correctly identify it. I guess it is my duty as a 5th owner to educate the world, haha. Though in Saint Louis where I go to school Monte Carlos (mostly 5ths and 6ths) are popular, I've gotten several people asking if I was selling (good ego boost, lol)

Hi cully, Im glad to see another 5th gen owner on this site. I really like the headlights. I was thinking about getting a set but Im not sure if I want to shell out the cash for them. They are a little bit too expensive for what they are IMO. I still like them tho, and they look great on your car. So what did you do with them to get that shifting color look to them. I like it.

I actually bought them from another membemr on mm so I didn't have to pay full price which was nice. The color shifting is just Silverstar turn signal bulbs. Got them because with the clear lenses you really get that egg yoke effect with amber bulbs. The improvement I made on them was to take out the reflector in the low beams which actually hindered light output. They are still not as good as stock which is why I still don't know if I'll be using them permanently... its not terrible, its just a narrower light pattern.

And thanks for the welcome kweef!

Very nice ride you got there. What kind of exhaust do you have on there?
