i have a 2001 Monte Carlo ss Black with chrome rims and red calipers i am thinking of putting racing stripes on but i dont know what color or which kind. please help. 2 streaks down the middle like a mustang kinda has, or the checker board streaks down the side. and which color

 

Welcome to the site! Do you have a pic of your car? If you have a Black car with silver ground effects I would go with a silver graphic. It really is your choice, they do make rally stripes specific to the 00-05 Monte. Checkers are cool too. Also do you want the graphics to stand out a lot. If your car is all black a dark red would be a really cool color to use.

Red would be my vote to match the calipers, unless you have the silver ground effects or something else of some other color.

 

well it sounds like you've put alot of thought into this whole stripes issue lol my opinion is to just keep it clean, NO STRIPES. ive seen that done WAY to much hahaha KEEP IT CLEAN BRUTHA!

 

I personally like a clean look with no stripes...however, they can look really good too though. Member God_Bot has stripes on his Monte, and I think it looks really really good!

I would agree with Amy, if you have black with silver, then a silver stripe. Otherwise, red usually looks great next to black.

 

I vote for 2 red stripes, that would stand out and look good

 

id say 2 silver ones...i actually have a black stripe kit from a mustang on my car..it had to be cut..but it wasnt a big deal..just keep it clean..and id say no roof..lol...i like traditional chevy style stripes thats why mine end where the spoiler meets the trunk..not all the way down it..like the back of a 70 camaro
