Default Racing Stripes (yes or no)

Don't know how to start a poll unfortunaterly, so here goes... Need your opinions... Seriously thinking of putting on the wide (red) dual stripe kit (like Passions)... Would it look good on a 6th gen?... I was thinking trunk lid and hood... I have dual hood scoops though... Also have a sun roof and I'm not sure how they would look up there... Any and all advise would be highly appreciated......

Thanks Taz for the Poll Position...

it would look good if you can get your scoops red to match the stripes.. if the stripes are gonna go through them. sunroof isnt a big deal i dont think. it will still look sick

I think it would look good, although not sure how the hood would work out with your scoops. As far as roof goes, I did my Moms just last weekend. Look at General MC talk for "Finally finished my Moms". I am probably going to do my roof, Paid for the stripes so probably will install them. I like the rally stripes. Some have commented not to do the roof, so varying opinions there.

I Like the stripe's , Don't know how the wide (red) dual stripe kit (like Passions)... Would work with dual hood scoops though.... May be a pain to install ?

Here's the deal, the kit I posted above requires a 5.75 inch gap between sides, and each side is 10" wide. You would just cut out the striping on your sunroof glass. Wouldn't leave striping on the glass. Other thing is, I was just in your garage looking at your hood, only way to do it I think is remove the scoops and then reinstall them. Still they will not be centered with your stripes. You cant just move your stripes outward or they wont match the rest. Now, here is your other option. If those scoops arent wider than the stripes, remove scoops and place stripes to be centered under scoops. Do not do the roof, then place stripes in proper position on trunk. They cant be off so as to go around 3rd brake light as in pics. Then use roof stripes to go over scoops, or jsut leave white. I hope you follow this and understand me, if not let me know and I will try and restate it some other way. Confusin me. Ha. How wide are your scoops and how much space between them?

Thanks, very detailed, I get it... The only thing is that the scoops are not only 3m'd down, but also glued... My skill level will not allow me to remove them and then replace them... They measure 12" wide with 11 1/2" between them... I hope I can trim around them?...

Then you could possibly just get a single 10" racing stripe. You could cut around them, best way would be to make a template and then cut stripe I think. I am just unsure what it would look like not being centered with the scoops. I dont think it would look as good as a single between them. Just do an ebay search for racing stripes. Should get all sizes and sellers can make what you want. Anoth idea would be get the single stripe and extra material wide enough to do top of scoops. I would just make sure you got a stripe that had the pinstriping on outsides.

The other choice
Buy a 12" wide stripe kit. Will have to do some cutting. Mine was pre cut but with a sharp razor blade should be ok. This Mustabgs hood looks similar to yours.
