I am going to replace the faded stripes on the car. I have never been a fan of roof stripes. it kinda goes against my bowtie blood.the wife wants a poll of your opinions about it. also, would you go back with silver orour other choice.. red? the interior isblack leather with red inserts and threading plus red carbon fiber dash insert andwindow controls.so the red is do-able... what do u like???? thanks!!!

Kinda off topic here, but who did the work on that car? do you know where I might be able to pick up a set of those red inserts?

 

Your car is a year (or less old) and needs the stripes on the roof replaced already?

 

american specialty trucks to my best knowledge. yes they are dead already. all of them... hood and deck lid too. crappy vinyl = quick replacement. nothing lasts long on black paint..lol

 

I was thinking the same thing. You don't see red racing stripes on a black Monte very often. I think it would look cool.

 

i personally dont like them on the roof, being a chevy they shouldn't be there....some people say they need to be there because it looks funny without it, but i just like them on the front, the back and down the trunk lid, sometimes down the back bumper too...but on the monte i dont think so

 

I agree with Wiz-mer, as a fan of Muscle Chevelle's and Camaros, I've never seen stripes on the roof.

But of course, most of those cars had black vinyl roofs.

 

I would go with red. Black and red is the best color combo. Plus that is one mean lookin' Monte. Nice

 

red and black is either something you really like or you dont....i think i like the red stripe around the bottom...but i dont think red stripes would look right...i would do silver metallic but thats just my personal opinion

 

Personal opinion, I like the silver sripes on a black car, and none on the roof. Who cares about the roof unless you have a lot of friends that drive helicopters.
