I sell motorcycle accessories for a living, and I saw something sort of like this, and decided to try it out. You're right, I haven't seen it in this configuration(on a car or bike) before, and that's why I decided to go with it. If you can't be different, why bother right? I mostly like them because they'renowhere nearthose coffee-can import style 6" outlet tips that you see out there, and they are very noticable without being in-your-face obvious or obnoxious looking. If given the choice, I'd actually have a smaller diameter outlet.
My other choice was a fishtail-inspired tip, but they would have had to slip inside my exhaust, and I would have had to cut some pipe away so you couldn't see the stock outlet. not to mention they were 5 times as expensive.
But it's unique, and it's mine, and so far I like it, lol.
