Default New member, need some help.

Hello everyone, good to finally be a part of the site after gaining so much info from it in the last year or so. But onto my problem. I have an 07 MC LT and the ignition will not go to the off position but the key will remove in the accessory position. This leaves me with a radio and other electronics on at all times. It would still start a few days after i first noticed but now will not even crank. a local mechanic said a tumbler might have gotten stuck, i've also read its possibly a bad bcm. If anyone has had this problem or knows a solution, i'm all ears as this car is my dd and i have to go back to college soon. Thanks!

Sounds like an ignition cylinder or tumbler as your mechanic called it.

Sounds like it may possibly be getting stuck half way between ON and ACC and that's how the key is coming out?

Also, when you look on the speedometer when you put it in park, are you see that it's in park? I'm wondering if the BCM isn't realizing that the car's in park.
