I recently found this forum and just introducing myself. I purchased this 2004 Dale, Jr. Monte about 3 weeks ago. As a previous owner of a 2004 Dale, Sr. edition a few years ago, I decided to look for a Dale. Jr. edition. This car has 36,500 miles and is in beautiful condition. The previous owner (one owner) replaced the graphics, but for some reason neglected to apply the ones behind the real wheels. I have a set of graphics coming and will complete the look. All documentation; owner's manual, original buyer's sales contract, original sales promotional material, On Star and Sirius radio pamphlet, original Monte Carlo CD, even a Dale, Jr. racing jacket. My Dale, Sr. Intimidator was a constant show winner, and I expect this one to do the same.
Beautiful car.
Beautiful car.
No curb rash on the wheels, no scrapes under the front bumper, nothing!

Already being displayed at cruise ins.

Beautiful interior with no wear. Just a few wrinkles on the edge of the drivers seat that I have already recolored.

With all documentation including the Certificate of Authenticity, this car is number 2,705 of 2,883.

I love this car. I enjoy driving it more than my Corvette C8. Most were daily drivers and ended up as junk or with very high mileage. This is an excellent example of this car.

Everyone loves it at the shows.

How about that paint?

And lots of extra goodies...a Dale Jr. racing jacket, original sales literature. Dale Jr. book with CD.

Default Car

Participant Judging is all about who you know.

I NEVER go to a show with participant judging, only real judges.

I help organize and run a large local car show. Unless it is a concourse style judging of true vehicle condition, your local car shows are tough to make anyone happy. Participant judging depends on participants actually voting and as you pointed out sometimes it is about who you know. Having actual judges, what is their knowledge and interest? Such as some judges care about traditional muscle cars and ignore a FWD.

This is why I focus more about having a good time with friends and just enjoy some neat cars.
