Default 2004 Dale Jr Series

Just picked up a neglected, commuter 2004 Monte Carlo SS. Rough around the edges as it was a daily driver until it started knocking, have a replacement engine ready to go, will be bringing this one back from the dead. My last Monte was a Lefthander super late model circle track race car with this body style and around 575 hp, this one won't give quite the same thrill but can carry more people and coolers of beer.

Cool score! What's knocking? Could it be the eaton supercharger coupler?

Fraid not,it's a rod bearing, engine should be out tomorrow and a junkyard special going in for now. Get it running, fix up the parking lot scrapes and dings then we'll go from there.
