Default New here...actually....im just back....

Hey guys...

It has been a LONG time since I was on this bored, and it has changed a LOT!
I actually didnt recognize it, and when I went to search for a monte carlo forum and stumbled across this one, I actually tried to remake my username lol.

Anyways, i am back on because I picked up another monte carlo today. This one is a 1988 Super Sport rolling chassis. I purchased this car as I needed a daily driver and I happen to have a TPI 350 from an 88 iroc that I will be dropping in. The car has a posi 3.73 rear and gray interior. Its a solid car with no rot on the frame, the body is a little rough around the edges, but nothing too bad. The left front fender was hit, but the deal included another color matched good fender....

This is my first g-body monte, all my other models (including my current 2001 DD) have been 6th gens.

I grabbed this because my wifey has been driving the 6th gen, and I have been daily driving my street/ strip car lol.

This is what I have been driving every day...

Its my 1981 Chevy Caprice with a 350 mildly built.
Car runs 12.3 @ 113mph with a 2.93 rear gear lol. (thats on 215 street tires by the way)

Well enough rambling for now....

Nice to be back in the loop.

Good luck with the project. I always loved the look of those tpi motors and I'm sure it will look great in our monte. Be sure to post pics when your finished. Also the caprice motor looks cool love the aluminium valve covers.
