ok so i have a 2001 monta carlo ss 3800 i would like to know what can i do to add bout 80-120 HP and what king exhaust to get to make it sound more muscle?? NOT TRYIN TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY!

 

For the exhaust..
Remove the resonator.. Get a high flow ZZP catalytic converter..
put on a set of headers.
You can check out you tube for different sounding mufflers.

You could also ad a supercharger and or a turbo to increase the HP.

I'm sure someone else will chime in with more ideas.

This outlines a lot of the basic 3800 mods.

As for exhaust, only mods I have on mine is a resonator delete, zzp 2.5 down pipe with high flow cat and front zzp power log (plog).

I've been very happy with how it sounds and performs. Getting rid of the resonator was the best thing I think I did with my exhaust (and that was done because my local exhaust shop could not put a res in that I was blowing out).
