Need Advise! 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo L S
my transmission fluid is brown when I Checked it do I flush or just drop pan change filter add new fluid?

The fluid is intended to be changed at about 100K unless you are in a very hot climate or do a lot of uphill climbing.
Based on it being very brown, sounds over due for a change.
I stand by the idea of a pan drop, change the fluid and the filter. If you are truly past due, I would do the pan drop/filter, drive it maybe 5-10k miles and repeat once more.
