Default Motor Mounts... Have Any Ideas

Hi everyone I just bout a 2002 Monte Carlo SS Pace Car. After looking under the hood I’ve noticed that the motor mounts aren’t attached “have bolts and nuts to attach” I need some ideas to move the engine forward to mount it. Don’t want to mess up the engine.
Thanks
-Max

You mean the dog bones? If its just rocking the engine forward you need, you can use whatever means necessary. Its not gonna hurt nothin. Put it in neutral if youre really concerned but you should be fine either way... If its the dog bones youre talking about.

What I would wanna know is, why did the previous owner detach them?

Somebody may have changed the spark plugs on the back side of the engine and never put it back. While you are doing it you can change them out because the bushings will get bad. Sorry about the spelling in the photo.

I am assuming this was your photo and you didn't get it uploaded.
So what a few guys have done is used a Ratchet Strap and You should be able to find a heavy bracket on the engine then if you can get it connected to the frame up front that has the Mounts on it then slowly ratchet it up.
I would attach the 2 pieces together, and then you can slide the part in that mounts at the engine. You may need a metal rod or a punch to get it in place do one mount, then do the other side.

Ratchet strap it and pull engine forward or rock car backwards to wiggle them in place.
