Looking for 1987 Monte Carlo SS!
I know this is a long shot, but i am looking for some info on a 1987 MCSS i sold in late 09 just before i enlisted in the navy. It was originally silver and my dad had it painted black cherry with the OEM orange MCSS stripes and decals. It had stock wheels. on the passenger side front bumper/lip there was a rash of white paint from when i ran into the plastic fence out front. It was a bench seat column shifter with huge fiberglass cowl induction hood with 2 metal hood pins. It probably still had small plastic brackets for black GTS headlight covers. It may have also had one Chevy bowtie exhaust tip. I traded the MC in for a stupid 99 cougar at a Faulkner-Ciocca Used car dealer in Quakertown PA. I'm assuming the car stayed in or around that area. I Shipped out before it actually left the lot. The car had a few quirks that i can remember. It was broken into during my ownership and once we fixed the ignition lock and cylinder switch the little wings you use to turn the key had broken off. The shifter **** would easily slide off. There was a noticeable exhaust leak that sounded like a stuck lifter, and it might have actually been a lifter (never looked into it). This is all i can recall from memory. I know i have a few pictures that I will add as soon as i find them. I may also have some old insurance papers hopefully i can find the vin. If anyone knows anything email me at nick_gar_222@yahoo.com. Thanks.
