Hello there, my name is Hunter Atkins. I just recently bought a Black 2000 Monte Carlo SS. I love it. I was looking online to get a better sense of things I can do with it, as far as a few little improvements, like replacing the center rear view mirror, and recommendations on sound systems that go well with the car.
For starters, I am not a gearhead, I respect those that are. I know enough to be able to do plugs and oil changes and the like. I am a computer system builder by trade.

Welcome Hunter! I am a Computer and Electronics Tech! And a self taught, although still learning, mechanic. You can do it! The second step is to get some tools and the 95 - 05 Haynes manual for th Chevrolet Lumina, Monte Carlo & Impala (fwd)

Welcome Hunter, you are in good company. All of us here have a variety of hobbies and skills beyond tinkering with our Montes.
Such as I'm a server admin for a large company. So, not all of us are professional motor heads (many of us are hobbyist motor heads)

Thank you for the warm welcome. Pics will be posted on my profile soon. Gotta give it a proper bath due to all the pollen here in Richmond, Va. Black cars turn yellow in minutes. I am really enjoying driving my SS. Its my first one. I have always wanted one. The wife calls it my midlife crisis come early. My kids just call it Dad's cool car. Its cool, I just sort of stumbled on to this car while looking for a cheap car to drive to onsites and drive the kids around. I stole it for 2k. It was hard to pass up.
