I used to own a Red 95 MC Z34. They are fun cars. I am new here also and I have already learned alot about my Monte.

Welcome to the forum Mike!

I used to have an 85 Cavalier Type 10 hatchback. Dark blue metallic paint with the dark blue interior. I wish I could say it was fun to drive, but it was designed and built to be basic transportation. I had the 2.0 litre engine,90 horsepower (yes90 -- that's not a typo), no air conditioning, no sunroof to help cool the car off.

I tried like hell to squeal the tires, but the car didn't have enough torque. And there wasn't a lot of aftermarket for the 2.0 litre engine. I even looked in the weed-eater aisle of my local garden centers. LOL.

Don't get me wrong, I kept it in top shape like I do with any car I own. But mine was not a "fun" car, it was basic transportation.

Good choice with the Z34! Lots of people here with 95-99 Monte's (5th generation).

Hi `Mike, from the Lone Star State of Texas,
and Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family Forum.
You just didn't buy a Monte Carlo Z34, you stole `it for
only $500.00. You are a very lucky man.
Did you have a `gun pointed @ the previous owner ?
Look forward to seeing pictures, and your future post
contributions to the MCF.
Wish you good luck with your new Z34.
