Default Im seriously thinking about buying a monte

Hey Im Taylor AKA Aphix and right now I own a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville HERE---->>>http://www.carstereo.com/installs/ph...galleryid=1623. But I wanna sell it mainly because it gets 20+ to the gallon, its got a gramma car rep, and I want to commit to a decent car. And when I look at 95-99 monte I see a cheap, sporty car. Which are the two big ones on my list. I have about 4k to spend on one but Im going to buy it wrecked and fix it up. Basically what I want to know is what I should expect out of the car? Will it get decent mileage? Can I make it into a performance car? Does it have any general problems, interesting features? Stuff like that. Im almost 16 and Ive grown up around the automotive industry in every aspect so please dont dumb it down. I have an underglow kit, 2 12" kicker subs, a pioneer HU, power acoustik amp, u can see it all on my site but I want to put all of this on here and more. Thanks in advance for your help.
