i hook up all the wires correct the cd player is on but the face plate does not turn on i can eject cd but the face does not do nothing what am i missing here

 

are you sure its the correct wiring harness?

 

i really dont know but it fits on the front deck connecter. can i spice the wirers

 

you could but then if you ever wanna go stock or just take it out it makes it more difficult.

 

i think i do have the wrong connect peice. it fit right on cd player has power just the face plate and volum will not turn on first time having trouble on a cd player what u think i shoyuld do

 

personally i wouldnt splice depending on the year of the car it could mess with the anti theft stuff. idk if it does with monte carlos but previous cars i worked on all the chimes and everything would go away. i would buy the correct wiring harness
