Question Hey Guys

So I am new to the community as my grandfather gave his Monte to me when he passed. I did want to ask, what is the differences between the 81 Monte's and the 83? I do not know/Can't tell what mine is. All I know is that it has a stock sunroof and the smallest v8 that Chevy ever made. Besides that I do not know much about the car. I'll upload a few images when I can.

The cars registration should tell you what year you have. The 1981 to 1988 was the 4th Gen Monte Carlo and they are very similar, the headlights changed in the later years and so did the taillights. Some times the hood ornament was different and the paint scheme sometimes was a 2 tone. There was a gauge cluster change sometimes and these usually had the T-tops for the sunroofs.
Welcome to the MCForum, I once owned a 1985 it was one with a small V-8 too. not much power but I got it for a company car and it worked for that.
