Just signed up. Got a monte in storage, about that time of year to bring it out.
So, aside from being pretty minty (about 100k miles)
It has the rust of death on the rear wheel wells. I've gone to a couple of shops and they said they wouldn't touch it. Might be forced to part ways with it but trying to find any tips on someone willing to give an estimate on fixing both sides...sounds like some metal work has to be done
Welcome to the forums. Finding someone to do the repairs will probably be rather difficult because the replacement parts are not available aftermarket. A idea would be get a set of front fenders and find someone who welds for a living. You should be able to scavenge the required metal from the fenders. The LF fender would provide metal for the RR quarter. The shape is almost identical and then you could do the rest of the bodywork yourself.

Hi Welcome to the MCF! Perhaps you could do a coverup, use a universal fender well molding kit with double stick tape. That may stave off the rust. Apply a chemical rust converter / arrester to the affected area then put on the moldings. A band aid, but maybe a band aid will suffice. Jeep owners do this quite a bit when their Cj's body starts showing cancer and they dont want to lay down coin for body work. Just did a quick search, look for different widths if you need to hide more. Search for alternate moldings etc, think outside the box. Nice Monte overall, probably worth keeping for a few more years.
