Thanks Mike for the warm welcome and everyone else that took the time to post. i loved the 86 but thanks to the economy I had too sell it as its hard too keep a job here anymore, This new 2000 I have I love the look but its been nothing but a pain mechanically Its been a money pit and code after code keeps poping up, I still say its the computer but GM say no. They just want my money.
Hi all. Mike here in Collingwood on southern Georgian Bay. I recently purchased my third Monte Carlo, a 1976. I previously owned a 1974 454 , and a 1975 350. The 76 is a 350 4 barrell with floor console and swivels. This car was in storage in a dry garage since the mid 80's after the owner was tragically killed . It has just over 60,000 miles. We got it running with some gas in the carb and had no ticks or even smoke. It's in storage now until spring then will under go a complete mechanical restoration . I also have a 1969 Ford Torino GT convertable and a 1983 Ford F250 superduty with only 17000 original miles. I am hoping for good advice in the future and making new friends from this forum.
