Default Help get this off

Someone before me stuck this crap over my doors and dash. How do you get this off? Carb cleaner? Heat gun? Know any tricks?

My 02 Dale E. SS with 19,000 miles has the same thing with a different finish. The original owner stuck it on.

I was at a pick a part and came across a Jeff Gordon special edition that had the same two tone door panels mine has from the factory. Needless to say I now have a set of original two tone door panels. I also picked up a front license plate filler. You should have a easier time to find stock door panels as yours looks to be just black.

Yeah, they are black. So you didn't try to get that stuff off? What about your dash?

As I said mine is a different finish, I can live with. No I haven't tried to get that off. I may try and get a dash from a pick a part at a later date (30 degree weather is not fun in the junk yard).

Yeah, I am doing minimal stuff right now. Only what I have to do. Still haven't even got it to the point I can pass emissions. Downstream CO2 sensor and a battery problem. One thing after another, but at least I know how many things are fixed and should not cause problems for a while. Next trip is to the body shop to just get some things lined up and take care of some rust. Not ready for paint yet.

My car came with some (not all) information on things installed on car. The pieces on the interior appear to be from a company called "Exoticwooddash.com", I had no luck when I looked online for them. The instructions mention using an adhesion promorter, the final step says to uses a hair dryer and press firmly. You might want to try heat and a plastic putty knife on the door handle. If it doesn't work that piece is easy to replace without the whole door panel.

I will do some testing. Even carb cleaner can melt some of the adhesive stuff. There is also goop gone that is supposed to free things up. I have a heat gun. I will give it a shot. Thanks for your input.
