Hello everyone,

Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum but not a new Monte owner. My second Monte a 2003 I got used with 40k miles on it. I'm sure it was a lease veh. and is in great shape. I still have great memories of when I owned a 1987, white SS w/t-tops and tinted windows. The only thing I think it was missing was bucket seats.

RE: Hello everyone,
sorry, no pics.
Actually, I am on my third MC, I forgot all about the 78 I drove for about 4 months. I needed a ride quick and was low on cash, so I bought aMC that needed an engine, then got a GP with a 305 that was running and the frame had rusted through and made one driveable car.I dont think i spent over $600. kind of tells you why it was easy to overlook.

RE: Hello everyone,
Welcome to the forum lax_man!
Hope your enjoying your latest Monte. Please tell us a little more about your 2003. Do you plan to keep it mostly stock? Modding it? Daily driver? Any plans for it? That kind of stuff.
I expect you'll get a few questions and comments about the 87 and 78 you used to have too.
Glad to have you here.

RE: Hello everyone,
Hi Alec, & Welcome to the MCF.
What model/color/options on your Monte Carlo ?
You can do a CarFax report for a history of
your Monte Carlo to see if it was a lease or
private owner. But, 40K miles is low miles for
a 03 : )
We look forward to your future posts. How's
the weather where you are ? One of the wonders
of the World : ) I've seen the falls in pictures,
but it has to be awesome to see it in person.
Wish you good luck with your 03.

RE: Hello everyone,
Thanks for the warm welcome, of course the weather is a little bit cooler than Fla. The wonders of the world is best seen from a car at this time of the year, Beautiful place in the summertime always needing a rain jacket and all, but in cold weather the mist turns to snow.
My latest MC is definity a DD, I bought because I commute about 30 miles one way for work. Color what GM calls capachino silver, it was keyed in a parking lot and they left me a good size scratch, I fixed it right away otherwise I wouldn't know what the name of the color is. It's sort of an off color white if you ask me personally.I've had it a little over a year and I like it a lot. I have read about high performance MC but I am not really interested in modding it right now. I will post a picture as soon as I was some of the salt off my car.

RE: Hello everyone,
Welcome Alec from NY. I know what you mean about the salt. My black Intimidator is hard to tell what color it is sometimes. The stuff sucks. would MUCH rather have sand. Sand doesn't thaw then turn to glare ice like salt does.
