Hi everyone. I've been browsing this site and loved the posts so much I joined. I have had a Chevy forever (my 95 Blazer LT with 145,000 miles is still going strong) and am now the proud second owner of a 05 Monte Carlo, medium gray metallic LS. My daughter is old enough that I don't need the four doors anymore. And I really wanted something sporty and feel good. I'm just not the Mommy-mobile type. I love the power of the engine and the comfort of the cloth seating. I have leather seats in my Blazer and it burns my bum everytime in the FL sun. I am so happy with this car that I find myself driving a little further to the store than I should have gone. I am looking into getting a sunroof put in but am concerned with aftermarket installation. Have to ask about that in another area. So, thanks for having such a great forum.

but i have to warn you if you like it as much as you say you will have a hard time to find anything else that you want to drive LOL

I have owned a monte since i was 13 and those were race only type cars but even then i still have had one to drive on top of what ever project car i was driving/working on.

they look nice, drive nice, can be fast, and still hold thier value better then some of the other cars in thier class from what i have seen in the privet market.

and with a small amount of work you can have a very stunning looking car in no time.

as far as the sun roof. what ever you do make sure it has a sun screen of some kind that will block out the light if ya want it. other wise it will get real hot in your car.
