How do you like your new Monte ? What engine do you have ? How's the power compared to a 3.8 ? I will look forward to your future post and contributions to the forum.

Good Luck with your new ride...

Thank you for the warm welcome

The car has a fair amount of power. I am quite pleased with it. The VVT motor does make a difference. Right now it only has 70 miles on it. I picked it up with 2 so I haven't really opened her up yet.

As far as my knowledge goes, I was a tech for many years and now I run the shop. I have access to info that is usually reserved for a dealership environment so I am sure I can be of some assistance.

I have up to the second TSB and recall info at my fingertips... and I can also look up vehicle specific info off of your VIN numbers.

Feel free to quiz me up whenever needed

Again... thanks for the welcome and I look forward to getting to know everyone
Chris

What is a VVT motor? I am guessing it is the 3.9L LT??

I have a question, what is the true story on these ISS replacements? I had mine replaced around 25-30K and it's back again. They claim they replaced it with the new and improved ISS.

VVT - Variable Valve Timing... a.k.a. Displacement on Demand, a.k.a. Active Fuel Management... my 5.3L V8 has it as well...
