Yeah that is a pretty nice first car. The hood does look really bad, I hate it when someone doesn't fix something properly. I bet you'll be glad to get it fixed

 

Welcome. my first car was a 70 dart swinger. I didnt get a 2000 or newer car until december 2011 shortly after I graduated from college. You got a fantastic first car.

Good deal on a first car for sure. My first car was a stripped, recovered stolen '67 VW Beetle. Had to patch a lot of pieces together to make it a car again.

While I do sometimes wish for a LCD touchscreen headunit, I am satisfied with the stock unit & and an iSimple iPod adaptor. I neutered the OnStar, but warning chimes and steering wheel controls I want to keep.

At least you don't have the issues that 6th gens have with other important functions that all go through the stock radio.

Ever seek out ebay for parts that others are getting rid of when they upgrade?
