Good deal on a first car for sure. My first car was a stripped, recovered stolen '67 VW Beetle. Had to patch a lot of pieces together to make it a car again.
While I do sometimes wish for a LCD touchscreen headunit, I am satisfied with the stock unit & and an iSimple iPod adaptor. I neutered the OnStar, but warning chimes and steering wheel controls I want to keep.
At least you don't have the issues that 6th gens have with other important functions that all go through the stock radio.
Ever seek out ebay for parts that others are getting rid of when they upgrade?
