Hi, as you can all see this is obviously my first post.

(this isn't a sales post, just looking for some information)

My wife is a member of a fundraising committee that is thinking of raffling a 2002 Dale Earhart Edition (under 20 miles on it). In your opinion would people spend $100 on a ticket if the tickets were limited to a 1000 print?

 

....might be a problem, the person whom i know that would be most likely to.... already owns a black 03 monte. i think u'd probly do better at $20-40 and a bigger run of tickets. could also find a clean one with a few more miles and aim a little lower.

 

how much did you pay for the car if you dont mind me asking???
that might be where you need to start for determining the value of the tickets...personaly if i looked @ it i would see that if there were a thousand tickets @ 100 bucks a piece the odds are 1 in a thousand ...very slim...and that your going to be making 100,000 bucks on a 25,000 car...seems a lot to me...

figure out what you have into the car....times it by 2 and divide by 1000, that might be a little more realistic...or like 2000ls said...sell them for 20 bucks but do 2000 tickets...thats 40,000 and i dont think there'd be that much into the car...i dunno though...

that much into the car = how much money invested into it

 

But you have to realize that if its for a good cause, alot of people will give money if its for a good cause. look at some of the cars auctioned of at charity such as the yankees motorcycle, some of the cars at barret jackson. if all the money is going to a charity its wroth it

100 bucks a ticket is a little steep for a 2001 Monte with some graphics. (believe me I like the DE edition, but lets face it, thats all it really is). for $100 a ticket, I would expect to be winning like a classic Vette or something. $20 is a little more realistic imo. You have to think of who will be pressent to buy the tickets and if they would want to win the car.

 

I might even think $50 for a 20mi car, but I agree, $100 is too much. Should be Carroll Shelby's car for that.
