Search the forum using the right keywords, and you will find plenty of inspiration. The process usually involves wet or dry sanding, primer, tape, and high heat engine paint. You'll discover that many of our members have done exactly what you're thinking of. I plan to do the same too, and I even bought the supplies already. Cheers!

I know Lisa (Montilicious) has been anxious to do some custom art work for folks. If you have a design you want to try, get in touch with her.

Heres what I have had done to mine... My stepson did it for me.

Cleaned thoroughly, base colored it black then taped it off and shot the silver...then clear coated.

I finally found my project cover back after I moved into town and
just started getting back to work again! I shaved it and once I get
it all smoothed out, it's getting shipped out to member Montelicious
(Lisa) for some professional artwork
!

Can't wait to see what concept you both come up with for your cover. I ended up dumping mine due to the nature of my engines manifold mods and the fact it retained to much unwanted engine heat.
