Question. I have an 07 ss. I totaled it. Can I put that 5.3 v8 in an 05 ls that has a 3400 in it.

Welcome to the MCForum.
I would think there would be a bunch of modifications because of the Computers not being the same style for each MC.
You could get lucky and you could have a nightmare.
