Thumbs up Big chevy guy with "new to me" 07 Monte ss

Hello to all! As a new member, I first want to say Hi! I will be referring to this forum, for tips, tricks, and how to's. I was looking for a long while, for a chevy coupe, that was not monkee'd up, with low miles. Along comes this flame red 2007 SS Monte Carlo with only 58,860 miles on the odometer, on Craigslist.org....$6100 dollars later, it's now MINE! The previous owner had babied the car, and had kept up all the maintenance with the dealership he had bought it from, 10 years ago. On top of that, he had it professionally detailed at the dealership every 6 months! I still can't believe my luck! He had another buyer lined up before me, but that buyer kept asking for more time. As luck would have it, after waiting two weeks, he sold me the car for the same renegotiated price from the first buyer! It was listed originally at $7800 dollars!!! When he told me the background, and then offered me the new lowered price, I texted back my reply.....DEAL!
I'm now the proud owner of a badass Monte Carlo with all the bells and whistles, that's UNMOLESTED!
Every time I get behind the wheel, I can't help but say...AHHHH!

Wow, Mr. Goodtool, you ARE a lucky so-and-so! Yes, the 2006-07 SS is pretty much the ultimate form of the front-drive Monte Carlos. Hope you have a great garage for it.

The build took a while as I only worked on weekends. Still working on bodywork and always making changes but definitely a blast to drive. As for the cost I'll say it wasn't as bad as you think. I basically put a new/rebuilt drivetrain so a lot was spent on them parts.
