I Come From Alabama
Hello all, new Monet Carlo SS owner here in North Alabama. New owner, as I just purchased my 2nd SS yesterday. I have enjoyed the Monte Carlo bloodline ever since the `73 Monte Carlo I ran across so many years ago... But I did not purchase my first Monte Carlo until 2012 when my wife found me a 1987 SS with 70,000 mi on her. I sold the `87 to a collector this past summer, as I just could not see that beauty turn over 90,000 mi.
So yesterday, my wife and I are visiting the small town of Columbia, TN when we pull into a dealership to look at a black Cobalt SS. It was sweet... It was also parked next to an early 2000+ model Monte Carlo SS in red. I told the dealer guy that I would love to have a late model SS, but not in red. So he showed me a 2001 in Burgundy. A very sweet ride, as it was loaded to include heated seats etc. But the kicker is, it only had 21,815 miles on it!!!!!
Not kidding, an older couple had just traded it in on a new Buick, and they were cleaning the car up to put in the showroom... That car followed me home, and now I am second owner of my 2nd Monte Carlo SS.
It is raining too much now to get better images, but I will attach this one for now...
