Another new SS guy here!
Yes, that old car was a dream! After owning that, I'd much rather have a 1st or 2nd gen Monte Carlo over any Cadillacs of that time period. Car rode and handled better than any of them did I thought. Was so comfortable it was like having my living room couch behind the wheel. I miss that car terribly.
Now, can anyone direct me to a good writeup on changing the transmission oil and filter? I looked in the owners manual in the glovebox and it didn't give me any explanations about changing the oil. Just how to check the level and add more. I searched the forums but couldn't turn anything up.

welcome! greetings from PA! i once thought about moving to Montana....but land was too expensive. that 74 sure was a beaut. i hope the new one fills the same love you had for the older one :-) i love my03 and shes not even an ss.
