...Hello & Welcome to the Monte Carlo Family

Where did you find the 1972 Monte Carlo ?
Did you buy `it or just find one ?
Did you ask the owner about the 1972 Monte ?
Do you have the serial number on the Monte you found ?
Is the 454 CI the original engine ?
Do you have pictures ? (Please post `if you do)
What options does this Monte you found have ?
Do you know how many owners ?

Please supply more information so our expert members can assist on your inquiry.....

Look forward to your future posts.....

Welcome to the forum man.

Is it a numbers matching? Have you run the VIN # yet to see if it was originally a 454?

Welcome to the site! Well, the first gen Montes were all one off years - meaning they all had different grills/trim pieces for all 3 years. The 72 happened to have this really rare trim piece below the trunk - as they don't repro this part yet. The Knights crest is also different for all three years....1970 has that number in roman numerals on the knights helmet, 1971 similar to the previous year but had 1971 in roman numerals. 1972 only had vertical lines on the helmet. Out of the 3 years I have to say 72 is my favorite (even though they didn't offer the SS trim that year).
