Cool 700hp@ the crank

I'm Jon I have a 2001 Monte Carlo SS l36 engine . I plan on doing a swap or some upgrades ive been to extreme racing web site i like their hard core block for the 3800 series 2, once i build this i would be doing something similar to that with .020 over bore and 8.0:1 compression ratio running somewhere about 25lbs of boost ( turbocharged ).the trans is being upgraded to all new clutches and shift kit 1200hp rated input shaft., but all in a v6 engine , im not hate-in on v6 I've seen some monster v6 's out their, I would like to do the ls4 5.3 '06-'07 Monte Carlo motor swap and do mods , i just haven't found ant aftermarket mods for the ls4 engine ,, to where i could aleast double the rated hp of 305hp ls4 to 610 ? i would be happy with that
thanks..

Hello and Welcome to the forum!

It will be good to see if you can make something like that happen, I don't believe there is a whole lot of support out there for that engine. but like most of us, you just sometimes have to dig in both feet and go for it, be creative and spend some time doing R&D and hopefully not go broke chasing the huge power.

My 3.8 is just over below or slightly over 700 chp, turbocharged, took some very extra special efforts to get there.

There are some Einstein members here who can provide you with some insight as to how you can chase and catch your ghost...

the ls4 had a small mod market world but cartuning performance does make a turbo kit for them. cartuning performance might be able to help you with engine work on the ls4 as well.

dont under estimate the 3800 engine though as they make stupid power and it would probably be cheaper to mod a 3800 than a ls4 just because of the aftermarket availability on parts.

you claim your doing a huge trans build... what all are you doing to it and what parts manufacture are you using? zzp, intense, gmr?
