Default 1977 in rough shape

Hello all,

Just made a deal on a '77 landau
PO's house burned down last summer, he moved the car to his friend's house(before the fire), then passed away a few months later. I'm buying it from said friend, who just needs it off his property.
don't know how long ago it last ran/drove, interior is dirty and moldy(cloth bench), big dent in front driver wheel well, rust holes in the rear quarters, driver door closes poorly, cant turn exterior locks, transmission shifter doesn't move the gear indicator on the dash, and I was told it "had a transmission problem"
engine is the 305, looks to be complete.
I didn't have a proper battery so I just daisy chained it to my truck, it at least turns over. electronics seem to work in general.

I don't want to spend a lot of money on this () but the girlfriend really likes it.
will get some photos up soon
I've had several 80s vehicles, still have a BMW e30 that's about to get an engine transplant, but this the oldest car I've had yet, and is my first Chevy ever. and probably the most daunting project vehicle I've owned.
Current plan is to get it cleaned up and see if I'm not in over my head.

Looking forward to discussing these interesting machines with y'all

Wow sounds like a cool project, back in the day a friend of mine had a brand new 2nd gen Monte Carlo this was a big car you could and a plane on the hood, lol ,
But I see alot of them today at carshows. this sounds like a deep pocket project. Good luck and show some photo's.
